Friends of Carroll Park is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to improving Carroll Park for everyone.  Founded in 1975, we are an all-volunteer group who donate our time and effort to make our park and neighborhood a better place to live and play.

What We Do

There are many things for which the NYC Parks Department does not have the resources — either in money or staffing — to accomplish.   That’s where the volunteers come in.  Think of us kind of like the PTA for the Park.  Friends of Carroll Park maintains most all of the plantings in the park, organizes food and clothing drives, organizes the Halloween Parade, movie nights, and most of the many other of the events that take place in the park.  Check out the many opportunities to GET INVOLVED.
